Drama Teacher, Suzi Gwen, has been acting and writing since childhood.  When she was 7 years old a play she wrote was selected to be performed in front of 300 people.  After auditioning, she was also cast in one of the lead roles of the play. At the age of 13, she often wrote and performed short comedy plays which she performed in front of her school and at 17 she went on to study Media at college in order to gain an insight into the production side of a performance, whilst assisting the Principal of voluntary Hip-Hop performance school, The Underdogs, where she also taught rap and lyric-writing workshops, whilst training and performing as a rapper and street dancer on stages in Wales, France and Germany.
At the age of 18 she successfully auditioned to join the HTV Drama Workshop (now The Workshop) in Cardiff, where she trained for 3 years in screen acting and gained television roles through their attached agency.
She then went on to train as a stage actor and singer at C.H.A.P.R.A. in Cumbria, in 2002 and has since continued to play a variety of roles in film and theatre. She has acted alongside such actors as Michael Dixon (Coronation Street, Hollyoaks), Anthony Quinlan (Hollyoaks) and Judith Jacob (Eastenders, The Real McCoy), as well as reality-TV Traveller Paddy Doherty.  In 2010 her writing was featured in the script of an episode of comedy series, Genius with Dave Gorman, in which she also featured alongside comedian, actress and presenter Mel Giedroyc (Light Lunch, The Great British Bake Off, Sadie J), actor and comedian Chris Addison (The Thick of It, Mock the Week, Skins) and, of course, comedian Dave Gorman.
Suzi has taught Drama (and coached dialect) since 2004, to students whose ages have ranged from 4 to 50, at such establishments as the Delta Academy of Dance & Performing Arts (where she trained to teach the LAMDA exam syllabus), Theatretrain, Harlequins Theatre School and a branch of the Paul Nicholas School of Acting (where she was also the Principal and ran their in-house casting agency), as well as teaching drama workshops for Bangor University’s Reaching Wider programme.  At the various schools, she directed and wrote several of their productions which were performed in theatres.
